Jeffrey M. Cornwall is an art educator and researcher with a focus on childhood studies, children's art and elementary art education. Jeff began his journey in art education and initiated his interest in childhood studies as the art teacher at Edgemont Elementary School in the state of Utah. Jeff received his Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University where he continued his work with children. Jeff’s research specifically engages with the affective and mundane ways children learn, think, make and do that leak from the dominant discourse of child development. He has publications in the journals "Visual Arts Research," "Qualitative Inquiry," and "Studies in Art Education." He has also published book chapters in two international anthologies about children and art.
