Family Day: Off the Shelf

with the Little Shop of Physics

Connect with the art and science world!

Saturday, September 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Family Day is a free, drop-in program featuring art activities led by Gregory Allicar Museum of Art staff and curators, CSU Art Education faculty, and students.

This semester, we’re also joined by the College of Natural Sciences Little Shop of Physics (LSoP)!

Designed for children ages 5-12. Everyone is welcome!

Family Day: Off the Shelf, September 10

Inspired by the current exhibition, Off the Shelf: Contemporary Book Arts in Colorado, Family Day will feature a variety of hands-on art and science activities.

Kids will learn about artist books and make their own to take home. Families can tell art stories by adding to a long scroll that will later be put on display in the Robert W. Hoffert Learning Center. There will also be hands-on experiments provided by the LSoP to fit the Off the Shelf theme.

Meet exhibition curators and other experts. Learn with students, explore the galleries, make art and science projects, and connect with art and each other!

Family Days are designed to engage the whole family in exploring, investigating, and having fun. Always free and open to all.

Registration is NOT required, but if you’d like to register to get reminders sent via email, visit our Family Day event link on Eventbrite!
